Retention Limit

| Retention limit | 50 | The maximum number of version snapshots to keep per page. When the limit is exceeded, the oldest versions are automatically deleted. Set to 0 to keep all versions indefinitely. |
The retention policy is enforced automatically after every page save. For example, if the limit is set to 50 and a page has 50 versions, the next save will delete the oldest version before adding the new one.
Permissions
PageVersioning respects Omeka S user roles:

Editors and above can restore pages to previous states. Reviewers and authors have read-only access to the version history for auditing purposes.
